Botanic Garden André Heller
Situated on the foot of bill Lavinio and spread over 10.000 mq you'll find a collection of more than 2000 different plants from all continents and climatic zones. Mr Arthur Hruska, a well known medician and naturalist, created between 1910 and 1971 this botanical paradise with its little streams, artificial lakes covered with water lilies and callas, liven up with plenty of fish, all sunken into a Dolomit landscape en miniature. In 1988 the multimedia artist André Heller purchase the garden and its villa to build up a center of ecological conscience. Hidden in the green you'll find sculptures and pieces of contemporary artists p.e Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Mimmo Paladino.
The Botanic Garden is open for visitors from March to October everyday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
